Recently we received the following email from Pastor Henoc:
We have been praying for a long time to be able to find a place downtown
Grande Riviere du Nord to build a church building. However, the opportunity has
not come and this matter has been a discouragement to the church.
We were approached by a family who
owns a lot in downtown Grande Riviere who needs money to take care of a
family matter. The leaders of the church have visited the lot and they
think that it would be a great opportunity for us. It is not a large
place, but large enough to build the sanctuary that we need. It is very
difficult to find a place in the heart of the city and we have been
looking for several years and we either have not been able to find a
place or the places we find have been extremely expensive.
The owner set the price at
$16,000.00. I talked to them yesterday and told them that I would be
discussing this matter with the VOHM board. I would ask that we pray
about this opportunity and trust the Lord to provide those funds if it
is His desire for us to make this purchase.

Today,
after much consideration and discussion, the VOHM board voted to ask
the Lord to provide the funds for the new property if it is indeed His
will for us to have this property for a new church building at this
time. The board agreed to spend the next two weeks sharing this need
person to person and through an email with our supporters. We are
inviting those interested in helping to fund this purchase to pledge
the amount they are willing to donate. Our goal is to collect pledges
to cover the entire $16,000.00 purchase amount by Friday, October 9,
2009 with the understanding that the pledge would come due immediately
if the full amount of the purchase price has been promised. If
you are interested in making a pledge towards the purchase of this

church in Haiti are praying especially for God's wisdom and direction.
It is their deep desire to reach the city of Grande Riviere du Nord for
Christ. A church in the downtown area would make a tremendous impact.
