Dear Friends and Supporters of VOHM,
We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank the Lord for your support through prayers and finances and praise Him for your presence in our lives. Without your help, this work would be much more difficult as we are aiming at reaching Haiti for His sake.
The College Susan Schuenke (CSS) is getting ready for its tenth academic year. Graduates are now completing degrees in colleges around the world and getting themselves ready to assume different leadership positions. One of our alumni is now running our administration here at College Susan Schuenke.
CSS has also excelled in sports. Our varsity soccer team had an undefeated record for the past three years, winning every trophy available in school competitions for northern Haiti.
In spite of all its accomplishments, CSS finds itself struggling to meet its financial obligations. The payroll for the months of July and August remain an issue at heart. We would like to appeal to you for your immediate help in order to resolve this critical issue.
We know that we are serving a great God who promises to supply all our needs. So we would like to once more ask for your prayers on our behalf.
In His service,
Pastor Henoc Lucien

Dear Friends and Supporters of VOHM:
The College Susan Schuenke(CSS) is developing the future leaders of Haiti with a Christian world view. We strive to operate our school in the most cost efficient manner possible. The CSS had an annual budget for the 2010-2011 school year ending Aug. 31, 2011 of $309,650.00 to teach approximately 1000 pre-K-13 students. Our income from parent tuition and student scholarships for the same time frame is running at only about 53% of projections. Accordingly, we have drastically reduced our expenses over this year to manage the shortfall. In spite of our efforts to trim our expenses, we find ourselves unable to pay our teacher salaries through Aug. 31, 2011 as their contracts require. The general fund of the school is not able to cover the last two $12,550.00 payrolls for July and August 2011.
In the past, we have used General Fund donations to help meet shortfalls we have experienced at CSS. Unfortunately, this quickly depletes the General Fund and it becomes difficult for us to pay for even the basic necessities of operating this ministry.
I know you are receiving appeals from many ministries experiencing the same kinds of challenges in support to operate their ministries. I know we are all facing challenges in our personal finances during this difficult time for our country. I can only make our needs aware to you and trust in your wisdom to know where God wants you to help. Please consider VOHM as you make these decisions.
Please prayerfully consider the College Susan Schuenke payroll shortfall for July and Aug. 2011 and the ongoing VOHM operating budget shortfall as you make these decisions.
Thank you for considering our work in Haiti and thank you for your past and continued support.
For our Lord's Kingdom,
Greg Schuenke
President VOHM, Inc.
