The Evangelical Free Church of Cap Haitian is a result of the outpouring of God's grace. In May 1994, six people met together to discuss the vision that God put in Henoc Lucien's heart during his time of studies in the United States.
Those six met on a Saturday discussing their
vision for ministry, what each believed, and then sharing a time of worship and
prayer. Day by day, many people started coming to join themin the study. Most of them were
unsaved. One by one, usually after 3 or 4 meetings, they accept the Lord
as Savior. Within 3 months, the Bible study grew to more than 100 people
meeting in a living room. The group decided to rent a school where they
continued to meet for the next three to four years. Within six months of
moving to the school, the church grew to about 250 people. The amazing
thing about the EFC of Cap-Haitien is that over 90% of our members have come through
conversion growth. They are people who have trusted Christ as a result of our
sharing the Word of God with them. To read more and view pictures click here.

Worship service at the Berard church.
In 1999 Henoc Lucien decided to move and build a
house for his family in Berard, a village in the southeastern part of Cap
Haitien.Over the next several years,
many short-term missions teams came to assist in the construction. .This building would not only house Henoc
Lucien and his family, but it would also be a place for guests and short-term
missions teams to stay while they were in Haiti.Henoc made one observation. There were no churches in the
surroundingvillage. Most of the
people were unsaved. There were no marriages. People began having
children when they were teenagers and it seemed like the situation kept on
getting worse. Click here to read more.

in the city of Grande Riviere du Nord began a Bible study hoping that their
group would eventually organize itself into an established church.Pastor Henoc Lucien traveled weekly to meet
with them for Bible study and prayer.Even the political chaos surrounding President Aristide's departure in
early 2004 didn't dampen the enthusiasm of this group. In August of 2004, an evangelistic crusade
was launched in the town square. For
eight days, thousands of people crowded the town square to hear live praise and
worship music and the preaching of the Word.Among the 55 conversions that week, two were witch doctors. Click here to read more.
