| We currently are seeking teams with construction experience to help in making improvements on our school and ministry center. We prefer those with previous third world experience but are willing to combine newcomers with experienced teams. Our missions manual contains helpful information for those contemplating a trip to Haiti. It appears at the bottom left side of this page. | At Vision of Hope Ministries we have the privilege of introducing church groups and individuals to overseas missions in the impoverished country of Haiti. The needs of the Haitian people are countless in this struggling little island country. Yet, the answers to each and every problem can be found in Jesus Christ. Our philosophy of ministry places value on the importance of meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of people as the Lord provides.
Often, those who travel to Haiti to work return with a love in their hearts for the Haitians they met and worked with and many have a deep desire to return again in the future. One youth pastor who returned after spending ten days in Haiti with his youth group put it this way, "...everyone came home with a love for the Haitian people and a great deal of respect for Henoc and what he does. It was a great trip and we hope to do it again in a year or two. Henoc and his wife were great hosts and their home worked out well as a home for 28 of us for 10 days. Thanks for all your help in putting together this trip; it was life changing for all who went."
We offer many different opportunities for ministry in which your team may choose to participate based on your desires and abilities and our current needs. Past teams have been involved in construction, electrical, plumbing, medical, dental, English instruction, leadership training, and VBS. We strive to put the abilities, spiritual gifts and resources of your team to their best use so that your trip will make a lasting impact on your team member's lives and on the work in Haiti.
