Impact of CSS on Haiti/Wisler St.-Vil

Wisler  St. Vil came to College Susan Schuenke in 2002 and was with the first group of students who graduated in 2005.  One thing we learned about him was that he was extremely gifted.  He always got the highest score in any exam session.

After graduation, we helped Wisler move to Santiago, Dominican Republic in order to attend the "Universidad Technologia de Santiago (UTESA)".  He entered a program in Medicine for students who have just graduated from High School.  Wisler went to school every summer in order to graduate early and he was able to complete the program in 6 years.  A couple months ago, he graduated (Magna Cum Laude) as a medical doctor.

This past week, Wisler participated in a general knowledge competition for graduates of medical schools in the Dominican Republic.  He was the champion.  He received two gifts from the organizing committee.  One was a ¼ scholarship to a school that will prepare him to take the test that will allow him to practice medicine in the U.S.-the test that all U.S. medical doctors are required to take.  The other gift was an ID badge printer (Pebble 4).  Wisler was honored to give the printer as a gift to the College Susan Schuenke in order to make ID badges for incoming students and staff for the next school year.  He is thankful for the way CSS has invested in him.

College Susan Schuenke is also the 2011 champions in Varsity Soccer for Northern Haiti.  CSS has won the competition for boys U-20 varsity soccer three years in a row with an undefeated record during that period of time.  We just received the news that the U-20 Haiti national team is coming to town within the next week and the ministry of Youth and Sports has chosen the U-20 varsity team of Northern Haiti to play against that team.  We are getting ready for the game.

These are some of the exciting ways that CSS is making an impact in Haiti.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
