MIM team arrives for construction work in Haiti A group of 13 from the Chicago area arrived in Haiti last weekend. This group, MIM (Men's International Missions) has worked with VOHM in the past finishing the Berard church and, last year, our orphanage in Berard. This time they are raising the walls of a new church in Grande Riviere du Nord and working on the kitchen in the orphanage. Pray for them as they finish their work this week and travel home to wintry Chicago! To see their pictures, check out our Facebook page. Type VisionOf HopeMinistries in the search bar on Facebook.
Rebekah's Blog Have you been checking out Rebekah Lucien's blog? There are some great articles there that will give you some fun insight to life in Haiti. To see her blog, click here.
Scholarship Gallery We have been adding pictures and profiles of students at our school, College Susan Schuenke, who need help paying for their tuition. The price for a year of Christian education for the 2010-2011 school year is still $330! Check out the gallery on our website! Many students are desperately awaiting your help. Your prayers are needed!
The announcement of the run off election has happened. There is much unrest and dissatisfaction among Haitian citizens in regards to their government. The return of Baby Doc Duvalier, a former ruthless Haitian dictator, adds to speculation about who really should be the president of Haiti. Please pray for safety for the Luciens and those who work with them as the political situation continues to unfold.
We are grateful for your prayers and support of this ministry!
Blessings on you,
