The Results are In!I just received the following message from Rebekah Lucien in Haiti:
No School Today.
Last
night they announced the final two electoral picks for president and
immediately the chaos began. The government has now decided that there
will be a second round of voting January 16th with the final 2 picks.
People are upset about the decision and are protesting about how the
government is cheating.
All
over today in Haiti people demonstrate in manifestation: burning
tires, throwing bottles, and setting up barricades on the streets. Our
first early school bus tried to get into town this AM but had to turn
around.
Pray
for safety.....and that we will be able to go back to school this week
so our kids can finish their final exams before the holidays.
In
addition to Rebekah's prayer requests above, I would also ask that you
pray for the mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of Henoc,
Guerline, Michael, Matthew, and Rebekah. When violence like this breaks
out, they are housebound until it ends. Sort of like being snowed
in-many of our eastern supporters can identify these days I know.
Pastor Henoc's house is full of many young people and there is the house
full of orphans next door. Please hold them in prayer.
